Two-layer photographic print on tracing paper, 42 x 29,7 cm
The work explores the relationship between the photographer and their own images. It refers to the process of selection and the emotional weight of the final choice of a single frame.
The photographic object consists of two layers of technical tracing paper joined along their top edges, each printed with a different variant of the same shot. The photograph on the top layer represents the image considered the most successful, while behind it the ghostly impressions of the less successful frames - rejected during the selection process - remain visible through the paper.
Only the top photograph has undergone post-production.
